Which forms of exercise are best for combating anxiety? how long should each session be & at what intensity for the feel-good effects to be felt?

The forms of: exercise are the ones that do several things. It has to be long enough to give your a good workout, take your mind off your troubles, tire you out, not cause more stress (over-doing it) and give you a nice endorphin rush. The latter helps with anxiety and depression, plus the act of taking care of yourself helps with self-esteem. Any exercise that does these things is good.

Exercise: Depends on the person. Some find tremendous stress relief by simply walking, or some by jogging/running. Some get it through bicycling, or going to the gym where they have a myriad of machines to work out on. Others find weightlifting is their personal answer for stress relief. Try them all, and see what works for YOU.
