2-3 days: If the tissue was examined locally, the pathologist should have a report in 2-3 days. Just because it is taking longer does not mean anything by itself. Your doc is correct in that had it been bad the pathologist should have called your doctor.

Time: It usually takes 2-3 days for pathology reports to come back to the office of your surgeon or physician. The pathologist will report the result no mater if it is good or bad. Every pathology specimen has a report, no mater the result that it has. Give it some time. Hope this helps.
