How important is it for a hand surgeon vs a good general orthopedic surgeon to do carpal tunnel surgery?

Carpal tunnel: Just like any thing else it depends upon the doctors experience and training. Don't be bashful about asking how many cases of carpal tunnel release they do per year( 20-25 at least) . Can also ask to speak with previous surgical patients of the surgeon u r considering.
