Clonazepam: Unfortunately sleepiness is a complication of clonazepam and there is not much you can do about it. The only alternative is to change medication. Being bipolar Lithium or Depakote would be alternatives.

Change it.: Clonazepam is an ineffective medicine for bipolar depression, alone -- presumeably you are taking something else, as well. But the side effect of sleepiness is unacceptable. You need to change the dose, the timing, or the medicine itself. Discuss with your provider.
