Infection: Crusty? Is pus coming out? Tender? swollen? If any of these above, then she most likely has infection which was not cleared initially. she prob need antibiotics or proper treatment until it is completely healed. consult your peds doc.

Possible MRSA: Methicillin-resistant staph aureus (MRSA) has become more and more common over the past 10 years. It commonly causes skin infections or lesions that won't heal or resolve on their own. It is particularly common in young children. MRSA skin infections can have a variety of appearances but commonly causes crusty lesions. It can be cured with antibiotics by mouth that are safe in children.
