Can you please tell me about the 2 major hormones of the pancreas help to regulate blood glucose levels?

Dr. Linda DiMeglio answered

Specializes in Pediatric Endocrinology

Glucagon & insulin: Glucagon increases blood sugars by mobilizing sugars stored in the liver... It's actions are the opposite of insulin's, which reduces blood sugars by facilitating storage of glucose in tissues including the liver. The pancreas also makes enzymes that are important for the digestion of fats.
