"Always possible": In life, it is "always possible" for a test of some kind to give a wrong result. The goal with testing is to choose the test that fits the individual situation the best... so that the chance of a "wrong result" will be acceptably low. That being said, it is unlikely that a chest x-ray has a wrong result. More likely, there is a difference in opinion and/or the chest has changed over time.

Chest x-ray interpre: The chest x-ray does not show wrong results, the radiologist may miss- interpret the images. Remember that the x-ray. It's a static image, and has multiple limitations. It depends on the hardness of the x-ray, for example, for bone tissue is quite different than for soft tissue. The patient that has pulmonary pneumonia, has an x-ray, which shows increase density the lung, the density is high, hashas been treated, and the fluid collection goes away. The density of the tissue returns to normal, then the abnormal density returns to normal
