Although I am not a pulmonologist but I do not think a high normal diffusion capacity has any meaning in the evaluation of a pulmonary function test and for sure I have not ever heard about "large air passages on chest X-ray" and what it means. However, you should be happy because you have a normal PFT but I wonder why you had it done in the first place.

A virtual consultation with Healthtap is available, or you may provide the % predicted values on this platform. From your note, you may have normal or 'super normal' findings. I agree that the reason for the testing is important information. You may also attach more details about your history and symptoms in the next message. If you have no respiratory symptoms, a normal report is reassuring.
