Zyrtec (cetirizine)?: It could be a negative side effect of the antihistamine (although second generation meds such as Zyrtec are far less drying than first generation meds). Mucinex (guaifenesin) unlikely to improve symptoms. Recommend seeing an Allergist/Immunologist to ensure your medication regimen is optimized. If the parotid gland is blocked, my first suggestion is to eat something sour (lemon wedge) and see if that helps.
