told of allergic rhinitis by 4 ents. antihistamines + steroid spray + singulair + mucinex (guaifenesin) not working. thick mucus pnd and sore throat. other options?

Reflux: Thought I had answered this question before. I would suspect reflux disease as the problem. Consult a GI specialist.

Agree. Would consider reflux. There are also other allergy medications to try and you need to be sure you've given each of the above a chance to work before deciding they are ineffective (because if ineffective, that helps identify cause)

Need Testing: Sounds like some sort of electrolyte(minerals in your blood like sodium, potassium or calcium) disturbance. You need to see a doctor to get this sorted out asap.

Could be: This time of the year a viral infection is more likely to produce these symptoms and predispose for for bacterial pneumonia. A chest xray would be helpful.

If this is going on for a while it is likely not pneumonia, but reflux or another process. A chest X-ray is helpful, as is seeing your physician.

You are in an area of the U.S. In which lyme disease is prevalent. Strongly suggest you see your doctor and get diagnosed one way or another. Hope you are better soon.
