A member asked:

Will antibiotics prescribed by a dentist help with a toothache until you are able to get to a dentist?

Should: It may take 48 hours for antibiotics to take hold. Plan to have definitive treatment done before antibiotic runs out. Take the entire course of antibiotic even if you start to feel better.

Most common: most common are penicillin or amoxicillin. But key is to see DDS asap.
