Defiantly, : Defiantly, i agree! take him to the dentist or emergency room right away. Adults sometimes think that if they can tough out a toothache for a couple of days until they can get into the dentist, then so can a child. However, infections can spread fast in children and can become life threatening. It is not worth the risk of waiting or trying home remedies. Have a dentist or doctor look at him today.

There : There should be no delay to get your child help. Go to your dentist, an emergency clinic or the er. This could be life threatening, and you can do nothing to help in the meantime.

GET HELP: Toothache with swelling almost certainly means infection. Advil (ibuprofen) may help mask symptoms, but will not cure infection that will only get worse and spread (quickly in children). Yhou son needs help, and he needs it now. Please call your dentist, endodontist, oral surgeon, pediatric dentist, or go to er. Don't wait.
