How do you decide which insulin treatment (syringe, pen, pump, pod) is best for a type 1 diabetes patient? generally, how long is the process of teach a patient how to use an insulin pump? is the learning process age dependent?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Endocrinologist Q: Generally one does not start with a pump. The nurse team with the endocrinologist will do the teaching. In our hospital, the patient is admitted for stabilization of glucose level and comprehensive teaching...usually 1-3 days.
