I heard that dapagliflozin therapy may be more effective than sitagliptin for primary prevention of cardiometabolic risk factors in overweight patients with early-stage type 2 diabetes. i take sitagliptin, does that mean that dapagliflozin is better?

There are very few instances where both classes were compared head to head. My reading suggests that both classes do the job in diabetics but the flozins will cause glucose to show up in the urine so be aware of that. It's more an issue in women because it can predispose them to vaginal yeast infections.
