No and no: no it is not critical to get a lipoma out, it is benign. second it is hard even for a surgeon to determined if a lump is a lipoma, or a cyst, or a lymph node .depend on the location, the way it feels, a fixated vs. moveable, hard vs. soft. painful vs. painless. if you are concern see a doctor.
