How can you tell the difference between a lump from an epigastric hernia and a lipoma?

Hernia vs lipoma: Unless it's incarcerated(stuck) a hernia can be pushed in and then pushed out by straining. A lipoma is a stationary lump. If you have concerns consult your physician or a general surgeon for examination and advice.
