Are there any better alternatives to arthritis pain in my knee than rooster comb shots? i get them every 90 days but the shot only works 14 days or so

Good therapy: The rooster comb shots act like a substitute cartilage for your knee. Studies have shown that they slow the progression of arthritis, but do not reverse any arthritis that is already present. They do help pain also. A good treatment for most cases of arthritis would also use an anti-inflammatory to reduce inflammation as well as an exercise program.

You should really: consult with a orthopedist who specializes in Knee Replacement since you are taking VISCO-SUPPLEMENTS by mouth and this is a VERY TEMPORARY solution!! A good Orthopedist will try to avoid Knee Replacement at your age!!!! Hope this helps! Dr Z
