See details: The symptoms can be very similar and may need an exam and an MRI to clearly distinguish them. If the knee pain is clearly worse since the injection, have the knee reevaluated to rule out infection.

Both knees not good.. 1 knee is partial bone on bone. Left knee is almost bone on bone but bad arthritis. I did get gel shots, but still have some pain. Worse than pain is horrible ache in both my legs starting knee down. Does it cause this ache?
Despite drain,shot, meds and ice knee still not back to normal at 6 weeks. Usually back to normal in 3 days. Tear as MD suggested? PA caused it?
Drain+shot of knee cause a cartilage tear? Md suggests MRI since knee is still painful/swollen at 3 weeks. Pa did drain/shot. I have to pay for MRI.
