Foot wound: Often such underlying conditions as diabetes, chronic nerve inflammation to the feet or chronic bone infections called osteomyelitis can be associated with non healing chronic ulcerations of the feet. You should if not already have a neurological exam, and X-rays of your foot. Blood work should be done to rule out diabetes. Surgery may need to be done to cut away the infected tissue or bone.
