Tinea pedis: When athletes foot (Tinea pedis) goes on for very long times...it becomes a deeper and deeper infection and more difficult to treat. OTC sprays and creams do not always work. The steroid cream I'm afraid has just made it worse. You'll likely need an oral agent like fluconazole. In the meantime...no bare feet in public gym or showers. Keep your feet as dry as possible by changing socks daily.
