What can cause localised itch patch on sole of foot,emollients,2x steroid cream.slight redding from mechanical itching,otherwise normal.worse @ night?

Possible fungus: It is possible that you have a patch of fungal or yeast infection. Try an over the counter yeast cream such as is used for athlete's foot and see if that helps.
