Not as primary Rx...: ...but, Green Tea is a known antibacterial agent that may help prevent gingivitis, bad breath, & periodontal disease by killing E. coli & streptococcus. As such, green tea is also useful in treating infections & wounds such as those associated with a sore throat. However, green tea cannot be condoned as primary or sole therapy for pharyngitis. Follow your doctor's advice if prescribed therapy.
