Well...: Looked up essiac tea ; it was described as a naturopathic product that has been used for cancer. I don't know what it contains as i believe it is a proprietary blend of herbs. I didn't see research on it. I will forward your question to dr. Baker - he may know more about. I can't recommend that you do or don't take it at this point. But there are herbs that are known to help sore throats. Consider.

Safe to try but...: Essiac tea is based on a native american herbal blend popularized by rene caisse, a canadian nurse, as a natural treatment for cancer.
