Time for am MRI: This is called "progression of disease" and is common but hurting to breath is unusual unless the breathing caused neck pain and it's really movement that causes the pain. True numbness is unusual; is it "pins and needles" that you feel in your arms or are you truly unable to feel anything in your arms? True loss of sensation represents injury to the central spinal cord. See doc ASAP.
