A member asked:

Can a type 2 diabetic have a hypoglycemic episode if they are not on any diabetic medication. only controlling by diet and exercise?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Resoundingly yes: B"sd very commonly, in fact the most common cause of hypoglycemia is "reactive" or post eating hypoglycemia and is a classice occurence in patients with dm2 or prediabetes. It is felt to occur because of rapid rise of blood sugar with eating but delayed release of insulin that then results in hypoglycemia since the food is gone. Glad to discuss in detail. Lifestyle only likely not best for you
