A member asked:

What can cause reoccurring severe hypoglycemic episodes in a person who is not diabetic?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Severe? Then I would: Insist on a work-up for both post prandial hypoglycemia, early stage if diabetes or an insulinoma, a tumor that secretes Insulin from the pancreas. I have seen two cases of the latter, and while rare, they are often missed. See an endocrinologist. Best wishes.
