A member asked:

The whites of my eyes have had a blue tint since childhood, i'm 29 female now. can this be normal? no known family history of any disorders.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Some children and adults can have a bluish tint to the whites of the eyes. This bluish tint is thought to be due to the retina "seen through" the sclera or White part of the eye. There is a condition called osteogenesis imperfecta (OI)present with bluish sclera & can be in heritage or passed on to any of your children. An x-ray of your bones and genetic blood test can diagnose subtle cases of OI
