A bluish hue: could be normal for some people with thin sclera (white outer layer of the eye) allowing the underlying pigment to give this tint to the normally white sclera. In other cases, abnormal thinking could be potentially dangerous and in children rare congenital abnormalities of the musculoskeletal system could also cause this. It would be prudent to be evaluated by your Ophthalmologist.

Maybe but: It could be normal for your family but I would also look into iron deficiency that can cause a blue sclera (white of eyes). Also ask family members about history of premature osteoporosis, broken bones, hearing loss, sagging skin, hernias, hypermobility of joints. Google osteogenesis imperfecta and Ehlers-Danlos disease.
