Staging: grade 2 means some early aging of the placenta, which is more common in women with hypertension and especially with smoking in pregnancy. It is also more common in advanced maternal age. If concerned, talk to your OB about NSTs and maybe a 39 week induction. If you're a smoker, stop ASAP
