Maybe. A low lying placenta can interfere with labor and delivery. The placenta must supply unrestricted blood flow to baby during the stresses of delivery. If it is too low it can block the outlet or result in the cord or placenta coming out first, leaving baby with no oxygen/nutrients during labor. C-section rates are much higher when this occurs.

Low is generally not the same as "low lying" and will not create problems. A low lying placenta needs to be followed to make sure it is not a placenta previa, which could cause bleeding and complications. If you were to need delivery by cesarean section an anterior placenta could potentially be in the way during the delivery and your doctors would need to be aware of that.
