Several items: Lots is known. Each individual brings their own risks and baggage. Not six sigma widgets which does make it harder. Cell type node positive by pet? 3a? If shrinks it may be resectable is a real possibility. Still lung ca of all varities. Is a bad actor. If you smoke you should stop, is best advice!

Stage3: Stage 3a and stage 3 b ate treated with chemo-radiation followed by possible surgery. 5 year survival for 3a is 25%. For 3b 5 year survival is 10%. Occasional patient can beat these odds. It depends on the cell type and differentiation of the tumor. Hope this helps.
