Need low pressure: Depending on the amount of damage to your optic nerves, you may need this low a pressure to prevent further damage. I would suggest discussing this with your doctor.

Disease severity: Your treating Eye doctor has determined, by carefully examining your optic nerve status, a target range of intraocular pressure (IOP) that he/she feels that will best stabilize the progression of your glaucomatous disease. This IOP target may change overtime and depends on many factors.
