Not sure what you: meant by "consume" or did you mean "resume"? You should treat it for 3 months regardless. Acne can be a chronic condition and if you had to use doxycycline I'm assuming you have already tried other methods to little effect. Finish the course and hopefully you won't have to do anything for a while. But acne do tend to come back.
