A member asked:

Can levoflaxcin be used for tooth infection abcess?

Not recommended: Levoflaxin is primarily for people who have been exposed to anthrax? Antibiotics, when prescribed, should be taken until all gone. Don't use leftover antibiotics that you may have lying around the house. The correct antibiotic will control infection spread, but Dental Treatment required to eliminate infection. Call Dentist now before infection spreads.

Tooth abscess: See a dentist ASAP and get professional treatment for your infected tooth. Do not self medicated. This can be ineffective or cause additional problems

Not so good.: There are several germs that can be there: deep tissue ones (anaerobes, can grow without oxygen) strep group mouth germs Levoquin is great on many mouth germs works on 90% of strep and utterly lousy on the first group. Any penicillan will be much better of a choice.
