Tooth abscess?: may show some swelling to indicate abscesses. need to a doctor to see for sure what it is

Radiographs: Dental radiographs will show differences in density of hard structures (tooth, bone). You can have an abscess (infection) that does not show up on a radiograph. A clinical examination, together with a radiograph & vitality tests will allow your dentist to determine exactly what ails that tooth.
