How can i treat the pain of tooth abscess/ infection?

Get help: Nothing short of treating the tooth with root canal treatment/crown or extraction/implant/crown will resolve your problem. Antibiotics to control spread of infection and analgesics to modify pain will temporarily be moderately effective until you can have active dental treatment. Call dentist now...This isn't a diy project.

See a dentist ASAP: If you have a toothache, you may have a cavity, wisdom teeth or advanced gum disease or tooth abscess. A tooth pain won't go away without treatment and the infection may spread to your jaw, cheeks, sinus and to other areas of your head and neck. You can use NSAID OTC or Tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain control. See a dentist ASAP for assessment.
