A member asked:

I heard about new lab test colourguard that can detect colon cancer in person's stool. how do i request such a test? is it covered by insurance?

Blood not cancer: The test looks for blood in the stool and if positive is an indication for colonoscopy. You can ask your doctor for the test. Unless you have family history of early onset colon cancer, you may delay the testing to when you turn 50.
