Because no change: in the situation that caused the hiatal hernia in the first place. It will work. BUT there is a high likelihood of the condition returning after a few years due to whatever anatomy/obesity etc caused it. but... if obesity is a consideration, I might recommend a book http://www.amazon.com/dp/0692496157/
