A member asked:

Can warfarin cause gerd? have had all gastro tests done, find nothing, my gastro doc thinks it could be the warfarin, im asking for another opinion

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Side effects: I have had countless patients on warfarin through the years and have never seen it cause heartburn. Other than spicey foods, oily, fatty, greasy foods and caffeine are common causes of heartburn. If you add medications to relieve your heartburn, be sure to check your inr after a week to make sure they don't interact with warfarin.
