Water may not be Rx: Water may not be your therapy. You can have your physician have you see a dermatologist to find the diagnosis of your dryness and the best mositurizer to use. Aveeno (oatmeal) and other dry skin products may help. You can also discuss the frequent urination issue with your physiscian and get that evaluated.

Ceramides: Dry skin is not related to the amount of water you drink unless there is significant dehydration. After a long shower or bath, apply a ceramine cream. Eucerin eczema, Aveeno (oatmeal) eczema, CeraVe, generics are easily available.

Lanolin-containing: Preparations such as Bag Balm or Udder Butter are excellent for dry cracked skin. These are originally intended for the udders of dairy cows but the workers discovered the ointments made their chapped hands soft. these can be purchased at any drug store in the skin care department. Shouldn't avoid H2O: If you have to go to the toilet too much after drinking water you may need to visit your gynecologist for a procedure or get your urine checked for an infection but the answer's not to avoid water but aside from that any good moisturizing cream unmedicated should be good at least for your hands and feet if not your face. Look up Mi Fine Skin products. I've been recommending them for 20+ years.

Try a thick cream: A heavy moisturizer like petroleum jelly, cold cream, Aquaphor, or best of all, Crisco, will help. Try overnight covered lightly with socks and cotton gloves. NOT latex.
