A member asked:

I am drinking more water in order to get rid of excess fluid in my legs and feet, but it seems like my body is hoarding it all, i have a desk job, so propping my feet up is not an option....what else can i do? fluid retention

Doctor can examine: A long discussion with one's primary care doctor is needed, because there are several possible causes for leg edema (some are serious, some are not). To say, "I am drinking more... to get rid of excess fluid" is like saying, "I am eating more brisket in order to get rid of excess fat in my abdomen." An in-person evaluation and long talk with one's doctor is needed.
