I've noticed my dominant arm (right side) is smaller/thinner than the other one. why is that? i would think it would be larger due to being used more.

You are correct ...: ... usually the dominant extremity is a little more muscular and can potentially be measured as larger. While unlikely, I suppose it is possible your right arm is a little atrophic...underdeveloped due to a neurologic or muscular problem. It is probably just a normal variation that makes you, you (!), but I would probably have your doctor examine you with this in mind just to be sure. Stay well:)
