I have a sharp, shooting pain in my ankle when i put weight on it- but not every time (usually when stabilizing). i am a dancer, but no known injuries?

Because you are a: Dancer I would see a foot and ankle specialist sooner than later as you place more stress on your feet than a non dancer. It would be prudent to find out what the etiology is before you make problems worse. Usually, this type of pain is either nerve or tendon related.
