Nerve impingement : There could be many reasons for burning pain, but most relate to nerves in your foot. One possible reason is impingement by the specific shoe. I treated a long distance runner with possibly same symptoms as you. Try using vaseline on your skin at the location and vaseline on your sock. This will allow gliding. If that doesn't help, see a foot doctor. Hope this helps, please vote for me.
