Tinnitus after virus: The cracking in your ears is probably middle ear (Eustachian tube dysfunction is a common cause of ear cracking) but the tinnitus may represent an injury to the inner ear. I would suggest seeing an otolaryngologist and consider a trial of oral steroids.
