Virus: Probably virus causing outbreak. No cure just take care of symptoms. Mild soft diet. Take Advil for pain and inflammation. You can rinse with numbing solution(Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and xylocaine) to cope with sores. Will go away within 10-14 days from start to finish. See dentist.

See Dentist: "Bumps" is not much of a scientific description. Your problem is in all probability self-limiting, but would be wise to have tissues evaluated by an expert...see your Dentist.
