Saphris (asenapine) for fibro?: TracyW ~ Saphris (asenapine) is a drug that is used in bipolar and other significant psychological disturbances. Are you sure this is the appropriate treatment for "fibro" which I assume means fibromyalgia? thanks

Debatable!: Saphris (asenapine) was approved by the FDA for treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar I disorder. Doctors can use their discretion for "off-label" uses. I've researched the literature & found as much evidence that Saphris (asenapine) triggers FMS as it does treating it. Ultimately, it depends on how it's working for you. If Saphris (asenapine) improves your sleep w/o side effects, then, by all means, take it! Best wishes!
