Depends on dose and: It depends on the dosage and the condition you have been prescribed this drug for .Like any medicine it can have side effects and you will only know after you take it.It is psychotropic drug and the psychiatrist who prescribed it should have explained the side effects and the pharmacy also must have given you information the drug and side effects. It may or may not cause all side effects listed.

Saphris (asenapine) effects: Safris is a medication in a class known to be sedating. Every patient is different and it's hard to predict how great the side effects will be, but I would not be surprised if you feel tired while taking it. Insomnia is a common side effect of many meds; safris is more likely to cause I insomnia early in its treatment. The package insert has somnolence at about 15% and insomnia at about 5%
