This is a pretty: technical question. Apparently, one of the main differences is that the Advisa has been developed with materials that allow the patient to safely enter the magnetic environment of an MRI scan. Medtronic's promotional material suggests that up to 75% of pacemaker patients will need to have an MRI performed. There may be other important functional differences. You must discuss with your cardiologist
