Unrelated: A 13 yo is not going to carry around leftover germs or lung injury from a pneumonia 11 yrs ago. Most patchy findings on a chest x-ray are simple viral infections that often self heal.A few will be associated with bronchitis or become pneumonia. It sounds like your local docs have looked at the issue. Follow their advise.Make sure the kid has access to good nutrition and rest.
